“We attempted to unravel the phenomenon of a ‘Drag-queen Show’ and explore its place in contemporary pop culture by attending one of the grand events titled ‘Send in the Clowns’ at De Studio. This art center is soon to host the significant ‘Antwerpen Queers Arts Festival’ on August 10-11, 2023. Thanks to the costumes created by Ukrainian artist and designer Mariia Plokhuta for the Show’s director, Veronika, I had the opportunity to peek behind the scenes and comprehend the world of drag queens.
